Looking for another way to feel better in between deep-tissue sessions?
Try out Clare Davies’s Trigger Point Therapy Workbook. It’s meant for the layperson (vs. the massage therapist), so it offers easy-to-follow instructions on extinguishing hot spots and on matching pain patterns to source points.
Here are some (inexpensive) tools you may find useful in turning off trigger points: a tennis ball, a racketball, and a superbounce ball.
For you local Portlanders, the Multnomah County library has multiple copies. Or check out Powell’s or Amazon.
